Learning How To Play the Guitar
Letter to the Judges'Dear Judges, My project was to learn how to play the guitar. I chose this product because ever since the seventh grade I have always wanted to learn how to play guitar. Then maybe I could someday be a part of a band as their lead guitarist or rhythm guitarist. This was the perfect opportunity to see just how hard learning how to play an instrument really was. It was the chance I had been waiting for. During this project I learned quite a bit about myself. For instance I’m not that patient with learning something new on my own. I am actually not too bad with my hand eye coordination. I was actually surprised at how good I got at it. I learned I’m not bad at learning new concepts as long as I stay focused on it and don’t quit. I found out that if I’m persistent with learning something new I can accomplish it. The easiest thing about learning how to play guitar would have had to have been learning how to keep your fingers on the frets. Aside from that just about everything else was a bit tedious. Especially learning chords and putting them together to form a song. That was easily the hardest thing about learning how to play. Also, it’s what took me the longest time to accomplish. There wasn’t much of anything that was easy about learning how to play guitar. I feel like now that I’ve learned the basics to guitar, I can go more in depth with it and someday possibly make a career out of it. Sincerely, Will Patterson |
